Pattern Notes

Sizes 6 months and 12 months are designed with buttons at the shoulder to simplify pulling the vest over infant heads.
See the chart for cable patterns.
The blue lines on the chart separate the left side, center panel, and right side of the chart.
When decreasing in cable sections, if there are not enough sts to complete the cable, work sts in St st.
To wrap and turn a knit stitch:  Work across row to designated stitch, bring the yarn to the front of the work, slip the next stitch purlwise, place the yarn at the back of the work, slip the stitch purlwise back onto the left needle, turn the work.
To wrap and turn a purl stitch:  Work across row to designated stitch, place the yarn at the back of the work, slip the next stitch purlwise, bring the yarn to the front of the work, slip the stitch back onto the left needle, turn the work.
For each size you will begin to work from the chart on a different row to allow the cables to line up with the v-neck correctly.  Begin on row 1[23, 19, 17, 3, 23, 13] of the chart.
