SIZE: One Size
About 13 x 8 in. (33 x 20.5 cm) not including handles

27 sts + 32 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Cable Check pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

3/3 RC (3 over 3 right cross)Slip 3 sts to cable needle and hold in back of work, k3 (next 3 sts from left hand needle), then k3 sts from cable needle.

Cable Check (multiple of 12 sts + 6)
Rows 1 (RS):
P6, *k6, p6; rep from * across.
Row 2: K6, *p6, k6; rep from * across.
Rows 3 and 4: Rep Rows 1 and 2.
Row 5: P6, *3/3 RC, p6; rep from * across.
Rows 6-11: Rep Rows 2-4 twice.
Row 12: Rep Row 1.
Row 13: 3/3 RC, *p6, 3/3 RC; rep from * across.
Rows 14 and 15: Rep Rows 1 and 2.
Row 16: Rep Row 1.
Rep Rows 1-16 for Cable Check pattern.

Cast on 90 sts. Beginning with Row 1, work in Cable Check pattern until piece measures about 18 in. (45.5 cm) from beginning. Bind off.

Fold 1 in. (2.5 cm) along bound-off edge to WS and around one handle; sew in place. Rep along cast-on edge with 2nd handle. Fold Bag in half, with RS together. Sew side seams, leaving last 2 in. (5 cm) at handle edges unsewn. Weave in ends. Turn Bag right side out.
